Netwalking
Article Added: 16/08/24
Come along to the Community Wealth Builder Netwalking sessions to meet and forge links with a representative from the Community Wealth Builder Team and your local Well Doncaster Officer. These sessions are a great way to find out what other groups are doing in your area, share best practice and find out about the latest funding opportunities.
Each month the walk will be in a different part of the city, and the walks are open to everyone. The walks are approximately 45 minutes long and a description of the terrain will be on the poster on the website and Facebook pages, we aim to make the walks as accessible as possible, and they are definitely more of a stroll than a hike.
The aim is primarily for groups to network with each other and their communities, however the benefits of being immersed in nature can be measured by the smiles at the end of the walks. We also try to walk within reach of a community café, failing this we will bring flasks of drinks or supply cold drinks.
You just need to bring yourself along and for safety reasons all walkers must wear sturdy footwear, well behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and finally to help lessen the impact on the environment we ask walkers to try to remember a travel cup.
All the walks are advertised on the Ramblers website as a wellbeing walk, so they are open to the general public, and there is no need to book a place.
