Community Coordination Grant

If you’re trusted in your community, know the people you support, and already help when things get tough — this grant is for you.

The Community Coordination Grant is about backing local community organisations to work more closely with others, strengthen what’s already there, and make support easier for people in your area to access.

What is it?

Part of the Crisis and Resilience Fund, the Community Coordination Grant supports place‑based, community‑led work across Doncaster.

It focuses on simple, practical things that matter day‑to‑day:

  • Having stronger relationships with other local groups and services

  • Knowing where to send people for the right help

  • Making sure no one is turned away

This is especially for you if you’re a community organisation of any size that:

  • Is rooted in a specific Doncaster community

  • Is trusted by local people

  • Often helps residents at the point they’re struggling

  • Knows the gaps, pressures or frustrations in the local support system

What's the aim?

Funded projects should help you to:

  • Work more confidently alongside other organisations

  • Make referrals smoother and less time‑consuming

  • Support people earlier, before problems become a crisis

  • Help residents build longer‑term financial resilience

What could the funding support?

The grant can fund time, capacity and coordination, including:

  • Staff or volunteer time to build local links and partnerships

  • Acting as a trusted first point of contact for residents

  • Improving how referrals work between local services

  • Outreach to people experiencing or at risk of financial hardship

  • Practical resilience activity like income maximisation, budgeting or debt advice

What next?

You don’t have to figure this out on your own:
