I joined Well Doncaster in November 2024, stepping into my first full-time role as a Communications and Engagement Apprentice. From day one, I’ve felt incredibly lucky to be part of such a warm, supportive, and inspiring team.
Alongside my role, I’m studying online with Cambridge Marketing College, working towards a Level 3 qualification in Multi-Channel Marketing. It’s been exciting to apply what I’m learning in real time—seeing how theory translates into practice has made the experience even more rewarding.
Every day, I look forward to what the day brings. I’ve already had the chance to experience so many exciting opportunities—from meeting new people out in the community to planning and leading events. The variety in this role keeps things fresh and allows me to grow and thrive both personally and professionally.
Growing up, I wanted to join the army like my dad, while my mum worked as a nurse—both of them have dedicated their lives to helping others. I was inspired by their example and the idea of being a “hero” in my own way. Although I realised that a military path might be something for the future... and I wasn’t quite ready to leave my dogs—or my creative side—behind just yet!
Art and creativity have always been a big part of who I am. I knew I wanted a career that allowed me to express that creativity while making a difference in people’s lives. This role at Well Doncaster stood out to me because it blends both: I get to use my creative skills to connect with our community and help residents access the support they need. It’s the perfect fit.
Fun Fact: On my dad's side, my family is believed to be descendent from King Cnut!
What people appreciate about me: My compassion for people, but mostly for animals :)
What is important to me: My family, friends and Elton John.
The thing I enjoy best about part of Well Doncaster: The amazing team (obviously), the fact that not everyday is the same, and the prioritisation for each other's wellbeing.
