Get Doncaster Moving - Active Communities Grant
Funding of up to £500 is available to support local residents, groups and organisations to fund ideas that help people to become more active. Asda Foundation Trust
Several funding areas available: Empowering local communities, U18 better start grant, green token giving, emergency fund and match funding, with no maximum amount. Community Investment Fund
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to VCFS organisations in Doncaster for a range of project costs. The National Lottery - Awards for All
Funding of up to £20,000 over a 2 year period is available to support groups to deliver activities which support their communities to thrive. Funds can be used for running costs, refurbishment, equipment, events, staff costs, training and more. The National Lottery - Reaching Communities
Short and long term funding of over £10,000 for up to 5 years is available to voluntary and community organisations, constituted groups and clubs, charities, CIO, CIC, schools and statutory bodies. Funds can be used to support with the cost of living crisis, supporting communities to recover, rebuild and grow following the Covid-19 pandemic. The Charles Platter Trust - Small Grants (CLOSING SOON!!!)
Up to £10,000 available for organisations who work towards creating a ‘Tolerant Society of Service’ through a range of social action projects which tackle poverty, exclusion, economic inequality & environmental concerns for marginalised people & communities. Applications welcome from small charities (annual turnover under £10million). Current round closes 10 October 2024, next round opens January 2025. Groundworks – Grassroots Grants (CLOSING SOON!!!)
Up to £2,000 available for small, local organisations in England who make a positive difference in their communities. Funding can be used flexibly including core costs. Open to organisations with an income under £50,000, based in a community that ranks in the top 15% on the English Indices of Deprivation. McCarthy Stone – Christmas Connections (CLOSING SOON!!!)
Grants of up to £750 are available to support activities which bring together people aged over 65 years at Christmas. Priority will be given to organisations working in deprived areas and where activities take place over the Christmas holiday period. Open to small charities and community organisations. Cycling UK – Big Bike Revival (CLOSING SOON!!!)
£3,500 available to volunteer-led groups/not for profit organisations/social enterprises to become delivery partners. Must be experienced in engaging with non-regular cyclists & people in need in terms of social, economic & health deprivation. They will deliver free sessions for adults encouraging an uptake in cycling, including free services to fix bikes, teach skills & lead rides, motivate adults to start/return to cycling. Greene King IPA – Proud to Pitch in Fund
Up to £4,000 available to deliver grassroots sports activities that positively impact local communities. Costs can include renovations, coaching qualifications, referee courses, equipment etc. The grant is open to registered charities, community groups, social enterprises, community amateur sports clubs. Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants
Between £1,000 & £100,000 available to individuals & organisations for activities including combined arts/dance/libraries/literature/music/museums/theatre & visual art. Priority given to grassroots music/museum unlocking collections/universal library offers. Projects must have a start & end date, clear vision & have ways for people to experience/take part in creativity/ culture. Tesco – Stronger Starts
£1,500 available to Charities/schools/voluntary or community organisations/parish & town councils/local authorities/social housing/health bodies/CICs over 2 years old. Every 3 months, 3 local good causes are selected for the ‘blue token’ customer vote in Tesco stores. Open to all local good causes but does have specific priorities throughout the year (see website). Don Catchment Rivers Trust – All Hands on the Don
Funding between £250 and £3,500 is available to community organisations based in the Don catchment area (a map is available on the website showing which areas are eligible to apply). The aim of the grant is to bring communities or individuals together, to take action for, or to engage people with the River Don, its tributaries, wildlife and heritage. Environmental Pride
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to community groups to develop community orchards. Projects must be community-led, respond to climate change by improving their local environment and have a lasting impact. Applications close on 30 September 2024. National Garden Scheme – Community Gardens Award
Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to create a community garden with the aim to bring a community together by creating a space people can share and sharing gardening knowledge and skills, inspiring a love of gardening. Open to projects run by amateur gardeners within community groups or CICs. Applications close on 28 October 2024.
