Locality: Borough-wide

I have been working with Well Doncaster since April 2022 and recently transitioned into the role of Public Health Improvement Officer. In this position, I collaborate with community leaders and organizational partners to identify development needs and provide support aligned with public health priorities. My work focuses on improving health outcomes across all communities in the borough through strong partnerships and evidence-based initiatives.

Prior to this, I served as a Health & Wellbeing Coach for three years, empowering individuals across Doncaster to make meaningful lifestyle changes and take greater control of their health and wellbeing. I have been part of the City of Doncaster Council since 2019, contributing to various services and initiatives.

Before relocating to Doncaster, I worked in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as a supervised registered Mental Health Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. During the years 2018–2019, I developed and delivered a resilience and stress management programme, which was closely linked to a series of self-help books I published in 2017.

My professional philosophy is grounded in humanity, justice, and equity. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. I value diversity and actively seek to understand different perspectives on shared challenges.

Fun fact: I was a fully licenced driver before I was 17 years old.

What people appreciate about me: Positive attitude and optimist.

What is important to me: To make things better.

The thing I enjoy best about being part of Well Doncaster: This is a dynamic & inspiring time to be involved in health and community support across Doncaster, with growing opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
