Active Communities Grants

Small grants of up to £500 are available to support creative, community-led ideas that help Doncaster residents become more active—especially those facing barriers. Projects should:

• Encourage inactive people, families, or those on low incomes to get moving

• Bring people together and make use of local spaces

• Be fun, new, and sustainable

• Build on existing community strengths—people, places, and passion

The grant is always open and applications are reviewed on a monthly basis

Don't Be Alone At Christmas

A small grant designed to help VCFS organisations create welcoming, community-led Christmas meals and social events for residents who would otherwise spend the festive period alone. It supports groups responding to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis by making sure people have access to good food, friendly company and a safe space to connect.

Community Coordination Grant

More than 40 voluntary, community and faith organisations were successfully awarded funding through the Community Coordination Grant, with each group receiving up to £30,000 to deliver valuable support for residents across Doncaster.

In total, £798,010.16 was distributed to help organisations develop and deliver projects that respond to the needs of their local communities.

We’ve brought together information on all the funded projects taking place across Doncaster. These initiatives offer a wide range of support, including financial wellbeing, digital inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, skills development, employment support and much more.
