Name: Rebecca Line
Job Title: Public Health Officer
Email Address: Rebecca.Line@doncaster.gov.uk
I studied Geography at university, and then International Relations for my Master’s degree. Through both courses I developed my interest in health inequalities on both local and global scales, specifically women’s health and livelihoods. I’m excited to see where my work in Well Doncaster takes me and am looking forward to hopefully making a real difference!
Alongside school and university, I worked in dementia care for over 5 years. I loved working in social care as I found it incredibly rewarding to be a part of the meaningful work carried out by the team and be part of such a close-knit environment. This job helped strengthen my desire to work within communities and help support people with leading happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Outside of work I love going to my local trail running group and spending time running and walking in the Peak District. I grew up in the countryside, so I love being outdoors especially with friends and family.
I am new to Doncaster and am really excited to learn more about the communities here and get stuck in with the role.
Fun Fact: I often compete in mountain trail running events called SkyRaces.
What people appreciate about me: I am caring and will always aim to put other people’s needs first.
What is important to me: Spending lots of quality time with friends and family.
The thing I enjoy most about being part of Well Doncaster: I am loving being part of such a welcoming and hard-working team who create such a good atmosphere of support!
